Orange Flower Healing Cleaning Protocols

Frequently touched surfaces. Light switches, doorknobs, and all furniture (including chairs, treatment table and face cradle) will be cleaned after each session with alcohol-based disinfecting wipes. This applies to the suite entrance, reception area, and treatment room.
Hand Washing/Sanitizing. Before each session, the practitioner is required to wash their hands with soap and hot water for at least 20 seconds. The client will be required to either wash their hands or use provided sanitizer.
Linens. After each client leaves the treatment room, linens will be stripped and bagged for laundering.
Disinfecting/Air Circulation. Hard surfaces (massage table, face cradle, chairs, etc.) will be wiped with alcohol-based disinfecting wipes. A HEPA filter will be in use during the session, and after each client, a window in the room will be opened to allow air circulation. Clients will be scheduled with at least one hour between the end of a session and the start of another.
What to Expect at an Appointment with Orange Flower Healing
Intake Form. New clients will be asked to sign a consent form and fill out a Covid-19 screening questionnaire. The Orange Flower Healing Consent Form describes what to expect during a Reiki session, offers suggestions for self-care after your session, and requests your consent to treatment under Covid-19 protocols. It also requests an emergency contact and how you would like to receive follow-up information.

Mask. From the time you enter the building, and throughout your appointment, you are required to wear a mask that covers your nose and mouth. If you need a mask, I will meet you at the building entrance.
Elevator. Please be aware that the elevators can only transport one person at a time, so it is possible you will have to wait a few minutes.
Hand-washing/sanitizing. Once inside, I will ask you to wash or sanitize your hands, and before beginning your session, I will wash my own hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.
During Your Session
Masks. Both client and practitioner are required to wear a mask that covers the nose and mouth at all times.
Gloves. The Monroe County Health Department recommends wearing gloves “when possible.” Clients will be offered the option for the practitioner to wear gloves.
Reiki treatment protocol. The standard Reiki session includes hand placements over the eyes and at the sides of the head. These placements will only be offered upon request. In all other cases, the session will begin with hands placed at the back of the head.
